Civil Engineering

H.O.D. Message

Greetings! On behalf of the faculty members, staff, and students of the Department of Civil Engineering of Ch. Ranbir Singh State Institute of Engineering and Technology at Jhajjar, I welcome you all to the creative world of CE. Civil Engineeringdiscipline to serve the construction industry; civil engineering profession and rural community through dissemination of knowledge and technical services. The Department of civil engineering create,improve and protect the environment in which we live.

The Department of Civil Engineering, train the students so that they can work and contribute to  the infrastructure development projects being undertaken by Govt. and private or any other sector companies. The Department focuses on a high academic quality, which is supported up by a revised syllabus and industry collaboration. The department’s curriculum focuses on instilling technical knowledge in students, improving their problem-solving skills, and encouraging the creation of new technologies.

Head of Department

Our Vision & Mission

Vision:- To impart knowledge and excellence in Civil Engineering and technology with global perspectives to our students and to make them ethically strong engineers to build our nation.

Mission:-

  • To produce Civil Engineers of high calibre, technical skills and ethical values to serve the society and nation.
  • To make the department a centre of excellence in the field of civil engineering and allied research.
  • To make the department a centre of excellence in the field of civil engineering and allied research.
  • To train and educate Civil Engineering under graduates with strong fundamentals for pursuing higher education and research.

Objectives & Outcomes

Objectives:-

  • Become competent and engaged engineering professionals, applying their technical and managerial skills in the planning, design, construction, operation or maintenance of the built environment and global infrastructure, and utilizing their skills to analyse and design systems, specify project methods and materials, perform cost estimates and analyses, and manage technical activities in support of civil engineering projects.
  • Developed their communication skills in oral, written, visual and graphic modes when working as team members or leaders, so they can actively participate in their communities and their profession.
  • Established an understanding of professionalism, ethics, quality performance, public policy, safety, and sustainability that allows them to be professional leaders and contributors to society when solving engineering problems and producing civil engineering solutions.
  • Our goal is to provide our students with the technical and analytical skills they need to create innovative solutions to challenging real-world issues using both existing and emerging technology.
  • Our objective is to provide our students with the technical and analytical abilities they’ll need to come up with novel solutions to real-world problems utilising both existing and upcoming technologies.
  • To expose students to a variety of current topics in order for them to become more ethical and responsible toward themselves, their colleague, humanity, and the nation

Outcomes:-

  • An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics;
  • An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors;
  • An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences;
  • An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts;
  • An ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives;
  • An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions; and
  • An ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning Milestones.
